2008 Winemakers Choice Clare Valley Riesling

The Clare Valley region is arguably regarded as the home of Australia’s finest Rieslings. This Riesling possesses a clear medium to deep straw colour with a bright golden hue. It balances the typical Clare Valley Riesling characters of kerosene and lemon/lime citrus notes. There are some underlying dried fruit characters, such as apricot, peach and some honey blossom. All of the flavours above are coming through nicely on the palate and the wine is drinking beautifully for its age. The acidity of its younger years has mellowed out and to become more integrated and soft.
